Riecine di Riecine

A younger version of the Vino Nobile.  A classic everyday wine of Tuscany. The fruit comes from the younger vines on the estate, primarily Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile) with smaller amounts of Canaiolo Nero and Mammalo.  Vinification in steel tanks at controlled temperatures, maceration on the skins for about 15 days.  Then spends 3 months in second-pass Allier barriques, and finally at least 3 more months bottle ageing.  Perfect as an aperitif or with classic Tuscan dishes of meats and pastas.
