La Piaggia Chianti Classico
80% Sangiovese and 20% Canaiolo. Production is traditional where Sangiovese and Canaiolo ferment together in the same cement tanks, ensuring uniform flavor. Aged 8 months in cement tanks, and a further 3 months in the bottle. Bright ruby red, with plum, currant and sour cherry aromas. Nicely balanced with smooth tannins. Ungrafted, pre-phylloxera vines.
