Franco Rocca Barbaresco

A lovely  single vineyard Barbaresco from the Albesani Cru in  Nieve.  Aged in a mix of barrique, tonneaux, and 1,000hl casks for 26 months.  Typical Barbaresco characteristics of dried cherry,  rose petals with hints of spice.   Color starts ruby red and then moves toward brick with aging.  Good balance with acidity and silky tannins.  From thirty-five year old vines with an annual production of 5,400 bottles. One of the few Albesani Cru Barbaresco’s available in the United States.
