Podere La Piaggia
Located near Castellina in Chianti in the slope overlooking Siena and Val d’Elsa, the company covers a little more than forty hectares half of which consist of uncultivated forests, the remaining land is divided among vineyards and olive groves; the cottage in the middle and below the original wine cellar of 1600, fantastic evidence of an ancient wine-growing tradition.
The soil, climate, and excellent atmospheric conditions of our vineyard, allow us to produce wine characterized by history and traditions. The vineyards are quite unique; consisting of many terraces that surround the house, and are of old, ungrafted (pre-phylloxera) vines.
